2012 Indie Travel List

One of my favorite travel websites has presented us blogging readers another challange.   The 2012 Indie Travel Challenge will be a weekly writing assignment with varying topics. The first one of the year is about resolutions, surprise surpirse, and compliling our 2012 Indie Travel List. It is meant to be part resolutions list, part bucket list, part experiences we hope to have in 2012. Hopefully by putting all these hopes and dreams down it will enable me to make a good portion of them come true!

Here is mine:

  • To go home to Maui and appreciate it for what it is. One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. To explore parts of it I have never seen. To not get stuck in the same old rut.
  • To continue traveling as much in 2012 as I did in 2011.
  • Figure out a new way to make money that can keep me on the road.
  • Go on a trip with my Dad.
  • Move somewhere to immerse myself in another language.
  • To smile and laugh more.
  • Spend the night in a treehouse

Antarctica so does count! It’s on my bucket list. So expensive though… Happy frolicking!

Nice one! Good luck with it 🙂

  3. Nice resolutions!! I especially hear you on appreciating your home location more – I think travelling changes the way you look at everywhere – thinking like a tourist in your own country is great and you can get so much more out of what would otherwise be an ‘ordinary’ day. Happy travelling 2012!!

I have a friend who has her boater’s license and I think it’s one of her coolest “hidden” attributes. I love how frolicking appears on both lists! Enjoy completing your goals this year!

  5. Bucket List Item:
-Over come my fears and swim with the Whale Sharks in the Philippines this month

Didn’t do so well on overcoming the fear part but hey I did jump in the ocean for a few seconds with these mammoth creatures!

Check out what others are saying...
