I am an Indie Traveler

This is my personal travel manifesto:

  • Travel for yourself.

  • Adapt to the unexpected.

  • Smile often! This is the most universal language.

  • The more I walk, the more I can eat.

  • Challenge the stereotypes to become a Global Citizen.

  • Spread ALOHA!

  • Being uncomfortable is good.

  • Find love somewhere unexpected.

  • Do activities that excite your inner truths.

  • Don’t expect favors but gladly take the helping hand when offered.

  • Talk to the stranger on the bus.

  • Think outside the box.

  • Challenge my personal boundaries.

  • Travel ALONE for an extended period of time, at least once in your life. It is the best thing you can do for yourself.

  • Face your fears.

  • Get completely lost at least once in every major city.

  • Try to at least learn the basics in the native language.

  • FROLIC!

  1. Just that picture alone spoke to me. Good luck with your travels, it’s an awesome thing you’re doing 🙂

    • Thanks Sarah! That is a photo of one of my favorite moments this past year in Turkey! Those kids had such giggling joy in them. It’s the simple exchanges like these that makes traveling so fantastic, don’t you think?
